As with any construction project there are various stages from planning to execution and handover. Effective contract administration and construction cost management is of-course also an integral part of the process, as is cash-flow forecasting and management. When it comes to project management, provision is made for progress payments, based on how far the project is at a specific point in time. This goes hand in hand with checking to ensure that the agreed work is indeed completed to specification and in accordance with contractual and quality stipulations. This is where the knowledge and ability of drafting interim valuations come in.

An interim valuation is the bill that will provide you with an accurate indication of the funds spent on the completed works. It is tantamount to an assessment of the accurate monetary value of a project at various “milestone points” during the course of project execution. It is thus used to calculate a “part payment” or progress payment so to say.
